Appointments and Cancellations
We respectfully require 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment as we have allocated this time slot for you and your health. Without proper notice, it is difficult to schedule another client who may need the treatment time. If your appointment falls on a Tuesday, please contact us by the previous Saturday morning. Please be aware that you may be charged a fee if an appointment is missed or cancelled without 24 hour’s notice.
We ask that you please arrive early to ensure appointments start on time. Our sessions are set to start and end on time to allow our clients and our Health Care Professionals to plan accordingly. We do our best to be ready for our clients when they arrive, but at times a session may be unexpectedly extended, in which case, you will receive the full length of your session.
Fees & Payment Options
All fees are payable on the day of treatment. We accept cash, cheque, Interac, Visa, Mastercard and Amex. All fees are in Canadian Dollars and are subject to GST.
There is a $25 fee for NSF or returned cheques.
Insurance
We do not bill private insurance companies directly, but we will provide you with an insurance receipt that you can submit to your plan for reimbursement and should you need assistance, we will happily do our best to assist you in your insurance claim.
Prepaid Packages
Prepaid packages give you the option of a reduced treatment price while you are coming in for frequent visits to improve your health. Prepaid packages are designed to fit the treatment plan recommended by your practitioner; if treatments are missed or scheduled less frequently, there may be unused treatments when the package expires. Packages are not refundable and are not transferable. Package treatments are not valid after the expiry date.
Cell Phones & Pagers
Please turn off or mute cell phones during treatment to avoid disruption to those around you.
Respectful Behaviour
At Okanagan Acupuncture Centre, you can expect that you will be treated with respect and sincerity by our staff and practitioners, that we will always act in your best interest, and that we will treat you with honesty and only with the services we are qualified to give.
We expect our our staff and practitioners to also be treated with respect, for the benefit of both our staff and our other clients. If any behaviour by a client is considered inappropriate, the session will be terminated immediately and payment must be made in full.
We reserve the right to end the session if we feel a client's behaviour or conduct is inappropriate. We also reserve the right to terminate a session for medical reasons, including discovering that the client has taken substances or chemicals that are contraindications to the therapy.
